Usage? Okay, let us say you
are in a wild west sim - perhaps tombstone, savage frontier or
another and want to get more accurate at shooting weapons.
And what you see available are bottles and red round targets.
Well, now, if you ever get attacked by a green bottle or a red
target, those are just fine. lol. :) But
perhaps even better would be to have real silhouettes of real
looking avatars or people, whom you might in fact be shot at in
Second Life. This item is menu driven and offers several
options. The first is choice of game. You can choose
just pop up targets that just stand still for you to shoot.
That is a great way to start. But more fun if you set the
targets to move, and much harder also, and that is also an
option, and is something you might in fact encounter in a real
wild west sim like Tombstone - where some gun people know that a
moving target is harder to hit.
But of course, there are more options. You can also set
the x distance they can roam or pop up in, and the y distance.
You can also set the speed that new ones appear, and how many
outlaws to appear for this session. And for the owner, you
can also choose the version where only the owner can adjust the
x and y distances - in order to keep the outlaws within a
defined area. That version only allows the owner to set
the working area, but will allow users to set up and practice
and also to set speed and numbers of outlaws for each session.
REQUIREMENT - the outlaws react and will shoot out blood and
disappear when they are hit by an SL object. That is a
real SL bullet, or for example, if you walk into it, or perhaps
even hit it with a sword or umbrella. The targets react to
impact or collision with something. So, you will need a
gun that does not shoot blanks but real objects - but again,
most do in SL, and many guns or rifles simply have options.
We admit we have not tried it with a sword or an umbrella, but
should work. A collision is a collision.
